Menstrual hygiene day for the girl child

Welfare of the girl hold is of high concern to Rescue Volunteers. In effect, a day like this cannot pass without a ceremony to inform the public about challenges that some young female population of our country Ghana go through.

The aim is to get on board people of like minds, to assist in providing this group of people the necessary assistance to become assets to the nation Ghana.  A day like this is set aside to educate our girls on Personal Hygiene and Sanitation. Sanitary supplies are distributed to the beneficiaries on such occasions which begins a year round demonstration in various schools.

This year, Rescue Volunteers Ghana is  partnering with other government agencies and non-governmental organization as well as private individuals to observe this day at Akuse, in the Eastern Region of Ghana on Friday 28th May 2021.
