Rescue Volunteers has the passion to assist girls and women in this life’s journey in many areas.  As women, menstruation is supposed to be pride of womanhood and must not be treated with shame.  Rescue Volunteers therefore joined hands with other organisations and individuals who share the same view to tour the Lower and Upper Manya districts and share a new message about menstruation and encourage students in the catchment area to face adolescence with pride.  This is with the hope to change the negative narrative associated with menstruation.

Marking the Menstrual Hygiene Day with education and distribution of sanitary pads to students on 28th May 2021 couldn’t have been more appropriate to get our message down to the whole community and the country as a whole.  Let us keep the day open yearly to encourage our girls while we usher them proudly into womanhood.
