Finally of the first phase of the Covid-19 Campaign Train arrived safely at the premises of the Greater Accra Art Centre. The audience we received were beyond our expectations and again maintained protocol measures to avoid the spread of the virus.

The Cultural Group as usual welcomed everyone with some of their finest tunes. We received dignitaries from the NCC, Ghana Police, Chiefs and traditional Leaders. Market queens and executives of other markets in Accra were also present to help curb away the challenges.

The Administrator for the Board of Trustees of the COVID-19 Trust Fund, Dr. William Collins Asare assured all present that measures are in place to intensify public education on the vaccines nationwide. This will be the second phase of the educational campaign which will also be used to debunk the myths and fallacies relating to the mass vaccination against the coronavirus.

The Executive Director for the National Commission on Culture, Madam Edna Janet Nyame added “We believe in our leadership, we know and trust that the government agencies whose work it is to test the vaccines for Ghanaians will do their work. I will urge Ghanaians to have patience as we wait for the health authorities to direct us on how to go about the vaccines”

Again Rescue Volunteers rose to the occasion and did the needful by donating 150 branded T-Shirts, 2,000 pieces of nose masks and 450 pocket size hand sanitizers to assist participants and the traders to keep safe from the virus.
