Re-registration exercise (July 1st – 31st August 2023)
Rescue volunteers find it appropriate to update our database of volunteers, which has become necessary due to changes in their status over time. The bi-annual re-registration process helps the organization keep accurate data for project planning and efficient resource allocation. We hope that everyone will make an effort to confirm their registration with the organization within the specified timeframe, allowing us to achieve our objective.
Cooking Channel August 2023
A culinary skill channel created by Rescue Volunteers to introduce people to African and Caribbean dishes. It focus on background information and the dish making in a refined and simple manner. Recipe is shared to aid onward practice.

Basic Stitching Techniques
Knowledge in basic sewing skills helps in mending your own clothes and saves you money and time. Rescue Volunteers Inc. comes your way with videos that can help you acquire necessary skills to mend your own clothes. This include
- Customizing clothes to fit;
- Fixing buttons; and
- Hemming clothes to your right length.
Summer Mentorship – August 2023
Summertime is a time away from routine school work and a perfect time to interact in a playful manner and share mentorship ideas. Vacation is made fun for those who do not travel out of town but make it to the church premises for exchange program.
The one-week program is packed with fun activities including fun games both in and outdoors; storytelling, cooking and a taste of African and Caribbean dishes. This is when youth and children are introduced to icons whose lifestyle are worth emulating.
This summer program is being held in partnership with First Presbyterian Church, Irvington. Look out for our banner in the neighbourhood and on social media platforms. Get ready for an exciting learning experience.
Certification Of Volunteers
A day is set aside in annually to acknowledge members of Rescue Volunteers and officially welcome new ones. August 2023 marks another membership certification day and appreciation of partner organizations.

Scholastic Aptitude Test Assistance
S.A.T.! S.A.T! S.A.T.!
Rescue Volunteers once again joins hands with the First Presbyterian Church to assist and prepare interested students in the neighbourhood for Scholastic Aptitude Test this summer.
