The Challenge
At some point in life, individuals transition into their senior years. Rescue Volunteers holds the belief that aging is a benefit that should be cherished rather than endured with hardship. Nevertheless, numerous obstacles accompany the later stages of life.
Many seniors facing hardships exacerbate their circumstances by also taking care of orphans and ‘grandchildren’ who reside with them due to parental neglect or abandonment.
Solutions to old-age problems
Rescue Volunteers seeks to identify the elderly with socioeconomic challenges in our operational communities and offer them necessary assistance. Most of the elderly in difficulty complicate their situation with the care of orphans and ‘grandchildren’ who are living with them due to parental neglect/ abandonment.
Rescue Volunteers offer care services to the elderly and widows in diverse ways;
- Monthly retreat, where they are motivated through the word of God.
- Symposiums on issues that pertain to their needs. Such days are also an opportunity for them to interact with their peers and feel happy.
- Donation of personal items, food, and other supplies.
- House-to-house visitation of invalids.
